FLUX Festival presents a book launch for Josh MacPhee’s “Strike While the Needle Is Hot: A Discography of Worker’s Revolt.” This book documents 80 vinyl records striking workers have put out around the world. MacPhee will DJ from his collection of union produced strike records followed by an interview with Concordia University’s Professor Kevin Yuen-Kit Lo. This event will focus on francophone recordings made in Québec, Belgium and France. Simultaneous translation into French will be available. Cash bar will be open.
